Welcome to the 2024 season! If you are getting this email, it means your swimmer(s) have been accepted to the Cashmere Swim Team. This is something to be proud of, as we have had tremendous growth in our numbers, with a current roster of 120 swimmers--all of whom are residents of, or attend school in, Cashmere. We are excited to welcome 32 new swimmers this year!

Please find important items below:

1. We have a new software this year: SwimTopia. No more Swimmingly. Please download the SwimTopia app.
2. Communication will be done via the website (www.cashmereswimteam.com), thru the SwimTopia system (emails like this and App notifications), along with our Facebook page.
3. A few reminders about expectations for the season:
• Attendance is vital. This is only a six-week program, please make attendance at practice and meets a priority.
• If you know of pre-planned absences, please email them to us at [email protected] as soon as you can.
• Volunteering was something you agreed to when you signed up! We have 3 home meets and they run 100% off parent volunteers. EXPECT that at least one family member will be required to work for 1/2 of each meet. Signups will be available soon--see the website for more information about the positions available. Some positions may look different this year with the new system.
• A reminder that participation in any other swim teams during the season is not allowed--if you are planning to be an active member of Velocity for the summer, please do not move forward with our team.
• Our team colors are Navy Blue and Orange. You are responsible to purchase your own suits but it is fun to try to match these colors. Cashmere Swim Team caps are required during meets and each swimmer will receive one as an included benefit of registration. If you need replacements, they will be $5.00.
4. Practice starts June 17th and is Monday-Friday, every week of the season, with the only exception being July 4th & 5th--more info to come on those dates. 
   • Swimmers 8 and younger have practice at 10:00 AM
   • Swimmers 9, 10 and 11 years old have practice at 9:00 AM*
   • Swimmers 12 and older have practice at 8:00 AM
   • *The 9-11 group is very large, some may be moved to other times. 
5. We are always looking for team sponsorships--if you have a business that would like to help, please reach out!
6. Payments for returning swimmers are due 5/31/2024. Please mail your check to Cashmere Swim Team, PO Box 34, Cashmere WA 98815. If you have already sent your check, it will be deposited this week, thank you! If you have a new swimmer, please bring your payment to the swim assessments.

New families will be getting an additional email with information about our required pre-season swim assessments soon.
